Whitell Property Surveys is an independent surveying practice providing professional, impartial property surveys across Stockport and Greater Manchester. With a strong background in property renovation, we bring practical, hands-on experience to every inspection—understanding not just how buildings are constructed, but how and why defects such as damp and timber issues develop over time.

Our experience in renovating residential properties allows us to identify the root causes of problems, rather than just the visible symptoms. This means our advice is focused on what is genuinely required to resolve issues properly, not temporary or unnecessary solutions. As we do not carry out any installation or remedial work, all guidance is honest, unbiased and based solely on the condition of the property.

We also hold recognised retrofit accreditation, enabling us to assess how properties can be improved in line with modern energy efficiency standards. This is particularly important for older and traditionally constructed buildings, where the wrong approach can lead to further issues.
